How to add yourself and affiliates
In order to join our ranks you start by adding yourself. This designates you as a Padawon (please create a profile under crew) and we hope once you've persevered in this learning process it will encourage you to add helpful listings to the directory, thus moving up in rank and evolving into a WANDERING FOOTPRINT LEADER. Please see 'RANK INFO' for further explanation of ranks.
CATEGORY
(this cannot be changed or moved after saved - Wandering Footprint may move your listing if they feel it fits in a better category)

(name of business)

(with the newest update they made this mandatory - please be sure to add an email that will be public facing)
WEBSITE
(how can a patron find you on the internet) and
LOCATION
(please be sure to put country at the very least, preferably state or province, and if you feel comfortable disclosing the closet city, that would help with the map function and people being able to support more locally - with the new update it automatically puts in your location, we apologize and can't remove this function - please remove the GPS location and follow the direction above for your privacy and security.)
This is a good place to give an overview of products sold by the company, I usually copy and paste the phrasing the company has put on their main page of their website.
ABOUT
This is a good place to paste the ABOUT section of a the businesses WEBSITE.
We hope the tiny hOMe app directory will offer a quick reference for the people behind the business. We believe we are moving into a time where people care who makes their products, how and what values the business has in making a difference in the world. The ABOUT section is our attempt to bring more transparency and inspiration to everyday businesses and items. When clicked the SUMMARY will be fully viewed with the ABOUT section having a button to expand and VIEW MORE
PICTURES
Highlight items from affiliated website.
I usually download pictures from the business website or take screen shots and use a free photo editing app to cut the picture out, resize pictures or if downloaded pictures are in a format that won't upload, save them in jpg format.
There are some very annoying issues with photos, but they are easy to navigate around with a little dedication and perseverance.
1. Photos don't upload upon saving in the order you put them in.

3. Sometimes the app will crash if the photo being uploaded is the wrong format or too big.

Be sure to save the listing before you add pictures. If the app crashes adding a picture, reformat the picture to jpg. resize the picture and try again.

Difference Between link and Deep Link
I have not found there is much difference between the link or the deep link - howerever since the newest update the deep link is the only one that will keep spaces between the extra words added. I would suggest using the deep link for affiliates

EMAIL, PHONE #, WHAT'S APP Etc are not a requirement and should only be listed if the owner requests their public disclosure, otherwise they can be left blank.
LOCATION
We understand the desire for privacy to ensure safety. We have battled with this conundrum since the inception of the app - our intention is to help bring more like minded people together on a local basis and therefor request you put your country and province/state at the very least. Your nearest city/town is much more helpful but we understand if you do not want to do this. (doing this helps the user find you on the maps function)
Be sure to SAVE before exiting your listing by pressing ADD or UPDATE LISTING
FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN ALL WORK BEING LOST.
If your business fits in more than one category you are welcome to add it to multiple categories. There is no easy way to do this except simply adding a new listing, placing it under a new category and reinputting the info for the listing.
A second listing of a company will not count towards your rankings.
One of the main issues in creating the directory has been the platform only allows for 2 sub categories in a directory add on. As a result I have tried a few work arounds, such as creating folders and making 4 different directories (such as in communities) this results in the need to go further into the sub categories to add listings to the proper category - IF YOU CAN'T FIND YOUR CATEGORY IN THE DROP DOWN MENU - when adding your listing - YOU ARE NOT IN THE RIGHT AREA TO ADD. Please exit and go to the category you want to add the listing to and try again.
Listings cannot be moved.

CRITERIA FOR LISTINGS
IF SELF - you must agree to the vision of a world where Autonomy, Sovereignty and Choice are defended for all persons.
IF OTHER the business must meet one of the following requirements
1. You found the business in a directory for businesses that do not support mandates and passports
2. You were requested to add the company by the owner and they are aware that Wandering Footprint businesses support Autonomy, Sovereignty and Choice.
3. You applied for the affiliate program and let the company know where you were going to list the business (if in the application you don't need to list the app, then please reach out to the company ASAP and make it clear that they are being listed with an organization that would like to support only those companies that agree that Autonomy, Sovereignty and Choice. Give them the choice to be unlisted if they do not agree. We will always stand by everyone has a choice to participate in our vision or not. We may contact companies randomly to assure that we are not misrepresenting businesses)
WHEN LISTING VENDORS
We are primarily looking for Mom and Pop shops, Businesses created by visionaries. We want to support people who are following their passions and are bringing something useful and joy filled to the market.
We are looking for items that are useful and well made. We appreciate companies who pay attention to their environmental impact and use more sustainable and eco-friendly materials.
We accept larger companies if they are producing a unique item that has not already been listed on the app. But we will always take a family owned business over a conglomerate.
We have a first come first served policy - however it is under the discretion of Amanda Jones-Archer whether the business aligns with the vision or not. Companies may be removed as we evolve - and as we refine our marketplace.
You will be contacted if any of your affiliate businesses are being assessed or questioned.
Your listings will be checked at 8 listings - (please let someone in the rank above you know) 44 listings, 100 listings, 222 listings, 369 listings, 444 listings and will be ranked up accordingly.
This will all be automated in the future. We hope you enjoy this initial version of our vision to integrate a game component to the 2.0 version.
