Hey hey everyone!
My name is Shae. It's so nice to be here and I am so excited to meet and interact with you all! Here's a bit about me.
I am a full time homeschooling mom of 5. I have 2 girls and 3 boys ages 3mos - 12. I love being a mom to my kids first and foremost, but I also love traveling the world, exploring other countries, learning about different cultures, digging deep in to spirituality and growing my natural born gifts. I absolutely love all the best things about humanity and our beautiful planet. It breaks my heart to see the struggle and suffer of our fellow brother's and sister's. In today's time I feel very called to co-create with others to help unite humanity and build the foundation for us all to embrace our differences and come together to create a better world for ourselves and the future generations.
My husband and I have been together for 12 super exciting and adventurous years. My husband is a very skilled carpenter, wonderful partner and amazing father. We have always lived quite a nomadic life in our years together; we have traveled all across western Canada with our little family. Fun fact, none of our kids have been born in the same city as one another. Currently we have found ourselves enjoying island life on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
About 8 years ago after our second daughter was born, my husband and I decided to create our future vision for our lives. We had big dreams of building an off grid community of Earthships. We had no real idea at the time how we would tangibly bring our dream to life, but that didn't stop us from keeping that dream in our hearts. Since then, we have been just going forward in our lives, following the doors that open freely and walking through them, not knowing what to expect next, or where life would bring us, or really even just exactly how we could actually achieve our dream. We knew beyond the money needed to make it happen, it would also take determination, faith, trust in the Divine, hard work, skills, and -community- as a foundation to bring our dream to fruition. We have a good chunk of these things under control now, but as with many people, we haven't yet got the many hundreds of thousands of dollars just laying around to purchase raw land, yet, to actually break ground and build our dream, and until recently we didn't have the community. Which, the idea of community, is what we found so appealing about one of the many awesome ideas and facets of the Wandering Footprint. The more I learned, the more I knew that I had to speak up, step out of my comfort zone, reach out, and see where I could help to bring this vision to life! Not just for ourselves, but to also help carve the path for the collective, too.
Honestly, putting faith in the Divine is what has brought us here to the island. Up until very recently, I was questioning what exactly the purpose was for us to stay here on the island. We had been traveling for 2 years around BC in our 5th wheel for my husband's work, and we were only supposed to take a job that would keep us here for 3 months, which has turned in to us now being here for 4 years this September. Now I feel that I am seeing the additional purpose beyond just having an abundance of work here for my husband's business. This is the place where we have had the wonderful opportunity to make the connections that are directly in line with our vision, our soul mission, through and alongside the Wandering Footprint and Amanda's dreams and vision for the future.
It really caught our attention when we discovered how the visions for the future course of our lives are so strikingly similar as that of Amanda and her families dream. Really the biggest difference between our dreams is that Amanda dared to dream huge (rightly so!) to unite everyone - globally, while really embracing both the travelling nomadic life as well as those who want to lay down the root system; and for ourselves, we were thinking a much smaller scale.. our direct community, a few like minded individuals, living in unique, beautifully handcrafted, upcycled, self sustainable developments where we could lay down roots for our children and future generations. At the time, tiny home living was fairly new (not a big as it is today, anyway!), and there wasn't much of a publicly embraced push for off grid life/community. We felt like if you build it, they will see what is possible, and the ones who are called, will come. Amanda saw the same thing, but dared to dream and her vision encompassed everyone worldwide! How amazing is that?! We both find her dream to bring people together globally absolutely inspiring and definitely believe this is not just some crazy idea.. it is a huge idea, and a big job but it's a brilliant idea and exactly the inspiration and road map the world today could use. With Autonomy, Sovereignty and Choice and the forefront of the value system here, we knew that this brilliant dream, system and plan Amanda has started breathing life in to, was exactly the collaboration we were looking for. We are so grateful for her daring to dream this amazing dream and not only that, but actively make continuous strides to make the dream a reality. We are also grateful for her kindness and generosity. Getting to know each others families and creating a friendship that will last a lifetime has been so fun so far. The super fun added bonus is getting to co-create, helping to build and breathe life in to these plans and assist in the framework to make this all come to reality is so exciting.
We are so eager and motivated, working hard to create this foundation, and we are excited for you to be here with us as well! "Many hands make light work" Let's dare to dream big together, and work hard while manifesting this in to our reality. We CAN do it!!
I'm soo happy to finally be here in this space with such an amazing group of beautiful people! I'm eager to learn lot's along the way and help everyone as much as I can!
To me - the idea of the collective united, embracing our differences; understanding that it takes all of us, with all the things that make us special and unique, working together, with the common goal of building something fresh and new with Love, Inspiration and Innovation at the forefront of our dreams is an incredible and unstoppable force. I can't wait to continue working with you all! I look forward to getting to know you all better. Thank you for having me!
