A few years back, as I was driving from the state of California back to my home in Missouri, I made a stop in Sedona, AZ, that changed my direction in life. It was such a beautiful and spiritual place, I decided to stay a while. Within a week I had a job working with homeless veterans in the area of Prescott, AZ just south of Sedona. This job was close to my heart, being a veteran myself, and fulfilled a deep desire to uplift and support those in need. I soon learned there were over 1500 homeless veterans living in the woods surrounding Prescott, AZ. This was unsettling to me, knowing that most were in this situation for only one reason, they did not have the support of a family unit and once they left the military, they had nowhere to go. After working with my military brothers and sister for over a year, I was called back home to Missouri. I never forgot them and have wanted to create a community of tiny homes where my military brothers and sisters can come and stay and get back on their feet or have a place to call home. That was until I found The Wandering Footprint and saw the potential to expand my vision to include other individuals who are like-minded and want to help one another live sustainably. I am excited to get to know my fellow members and look forward to our journey together.
